Emily (Milly) Marsay is a strategic fundraising consultant with experience spanning the UK and Canada. She works with mission-driven organisations to strengthen their fundraising strategy, develop their grant application pipelines and deliver compelling cases for support.
Over the past decade, Emily has worked across climate justice, education, accessibility, and community-based charities. She has led and coordinated funding pipelines, managed grant calendars and reporting schedules, prepared high-quality proposals and briefings, and supported partnership development and donor stewardship. Alongside her role at Brazen Fundraising, her roles include Fundraising Lead at the Global Goals Centre and Resource Development Strategist at Rocky Mountain Adaptive.
Emily began her fundraising career at the University of Exeter’s Annual Fund. She later combined fundraising with policy research and advocacy, contributing to climate justice and gender equity initiatives through roles with organisations including The Carbon Literacy Project, Trócaire and The Women’s Budget Group.
Alongside her professional fundraising work, Emily holds a Master’s of Research in Politics with a focus on Sustainable Development. She is passionate about leaving this world a better place than we found it!
