B.A, B.Ed, CFRE, MFA-P, Certified Eden Associate

Senior Fundraising Strategist & Non-Profit Advisor

James Perkins brings over 14 years of experience in the charitable sector, including six years as a consultant helping organizations secure transformational gifts and build sustainable fundraising strategies. Holding both a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation and a Master Financial Advisor-Philanthropy (MFA-P) certification, James combines strategic expertise with a hands-on approach to create meaningful, lasting impact.

James has guided high-profile capital campaigns for organizations like the Regina Food Bank, Wanuskewin Heritage Park (on its path to UNESCO designation), and the establishment of a new community foundation in British Columbia. His innovative approach has also supported more than a dozen smaller charities in achieving ambitious fundraising goals. Among his notable successes, James once secured a $1M gift through a cold call, transforming an unknown prospect into a lasting donor relationship.

James also serves in a half-time role at Bethany Manor, where he leads fundraising initiatives that improve the lives of seniors. This dual perspective allows him to merge best practices from consulting with hands-on fundraising experience. Known for his strategic thinking and approachable style, James is passionate about helping non-profits create sustainable revenue streams and achieve their missions.

When he’s not working, James enjoys gardening, community leadership, and spending time with his wife and two children in Saskatchewan.
